Q: Dark neck.

Hi, my neck is darker than my face and the rest of my body and I’m quite light in complexion. Any creams that you can recommend or medical procedure? I want it permanently removed

Thank you so much for your question. I think the first thing to note, is that pigmentation is quite tricky to treat in that it can be quite a stubborn condition, and it takes a fair amount of time to really get good results. The news that most people do NOT want to hear, is that pigmentation is a dynamic condition, which means you can treat it and improve it, but it has the potential of coming back if you do not manage it long term. As far as products goes there are some excellent choices available and I would highly recommend starting with products first, for 2-3 months, see how well your pigment responds to those products and then add treatments after using products for 8-12 weeks. For products, I would have a look at the Luminesce range from Lamelle Research Laboratories. You can also have a look at the Enlighten Range by Neostrata. Treatment wise there are also some fantastic options, have a look at the Dermamelan and/or Cosmelan pigmentation treatments. Info on all of these are available on our website at
