Mesoglow facial: your bespoke anti-ageing facial

We can’t escape ageing, but how we age has become more of a choice, especially if we use the right tools. Is this a good time to mention the Mesoglow facial?

Once upon a time… our personal skin ageing process came down to a genetic lottery. Some of us got lucky with genes that kept us looking and feeling younger for longer, while others weren’t as fortunate.

Still, the good-skin fairy whispers, it doesn’t matter how lucky our genes are. If we subject our skin to pollution, stress, UV rays and smoking, lines, uneven skin tone and sagging will show up.

How things have changed

In the past couple of decades, we’ve been able to play an increasingly active role in ageing intervention through good lifestyle habits.
We’re talking about good quality sleep, an antioxidant- and omega-3 rich diet, maintaining a healthy gut, UVA/UVB sun protection. Plus, of course, the way we look after our skin.

We’ve had the advantage of increased understanding of how the skin works, and we’ve never been so spoilt for choice when it comes to effective skin-care science and technologies – from surgery and laser to injectables.

The experts know that one of the most effective ways to combat skin ageing is…

  1.  maintaining the collagen we have,
  2. encouraging the production of new collagen.

The most effective way to do this is through professional skin-maintenance treatments.

And, as with most things, it is easier to slow and prevent skin ageing rather than repairing damage. So, the sooner you’re able to start, the better the results in the long term.

The marvellous anti-ageing Mesoglow facial

Skin Renewal’s signature Mesoglow facial is one of our most effective non-ablative (non-invasive) skin rejuvenation treatments. It can be used on all skin types and ages, and it delivers great results in rejuvenating the skin on your face, neck, décolleté and hands. It painless and requires no downtime, and each treatment can be tailored to your personal skin needs.

How does the Mesoglow Facial work?

Traditional Mesotherapy involves injecting ingredients directly into the dermis. The Skin Renewal Mesoglow Facial, however, is a no-needle treatment. Instead, it uses the USA FDA-approved Transderm device, which opens up pores via electrical stimulation and vibration.

This transdermal action allows active ingredients to pass easily into the deeper layers of the skin, where they are needed for collagen stimulation. Once the Transderm is switched off, the pores close again, and the skin returns to normal.

Four steps to great skin

Before starting, the skin-care therapist will examine your skin and ask you about your concerns. This will determine which serum is used to achieve your skin goals.

First, the face is prepared with microdermabrasion, which gently blasts your skin with microcrystals to remove dull, dry and excess skin cells. This leaves skin beautifully smooth, brighter, and ready to absorb ingredients that are applied in the following stages.

Next step is the transdermal mesotherapy, which pushes active ingredients into your skin. This includes the infusion of a hyaluronic acid serum to give your skin a boost in hydration and radiance.

An extra serum can also be added to tackle your particular skin concern. This is followed by an alginate mask.

At the end of the 60-minute session, the skin is smooth, hydrated, nourished and glowing, and the effect accumulates with each treatment.

A course of two to four treatments is recommended. The full effect of each treatment takes approximately 3 months to be seen, and skin rejuvenation continues to improve over the next 9 months.
